About Mite Ciphers

Mite Ciphers is a unique service created exclusively to meet the operational services needs of small to medium sized churches and faith-based nonprofit organizations. As Christians, we share our clients’ core values; as professionals, we tailor best practices to meet each client’s specific needs.

Our name is inspired by Mark 12:41-44, the story of the poor widow who gave two small coins or mites, all she had, in sacrifice to God. In mathematics, ci-phers are those who compute and calculate. Thus Mite Ciphers -- professional accountants who manage and safeguard tithes and offerings to the Lord.

MITE CIPHERS FOUNDER AND CHIEF CIPHER

Pam Blackwell
Pam Blackwell is a Christian and a seasoned accountant. In addition to serving as Manager of Finance and Global Security at General Electric, Pam has held senior management positions in finance and technology at Jupiter-Media Inc. and United Rentals. Pam began her career as a staff accountant and consultant at Arthur Andersen & Co. She holds a BBA in Accounting and is Six Sigma quality certified. Pam serves on the Board of Advisors of Vizibility, Inc., and is a wife, quilter and mother of four. Pam and her husband Ken have been frequent missionaries to Rwanda for five years, focusing on evangelism and education.

She created Mite Ciphers after her own long and frustrating search for qualified outside accounting services for her small but growing church. Pam sees Mite Ciphers as a way to participate in our customers’ Christ-centered missions by enabling her clients to devote more time and energy to the work they are uniquely called to do.
